MiLibrary Card 

The Harper Woods Library is excited to announce that we are participating in MiLibrary Card! This program provides access to the printed collections of over 100 participating Michigan libraries. For instance, if you're on vacation in Charlevoix and you get some unexpected rain you can visit their gorgeous historic library and check out a book! 

To use this program, simply stop by the Circulation Desk to update your library card!

Friends of the Harper Woods Library

The Friends of the Harper Woods Library are an incredibly important non-profit that work to support operations at our amazing little library. In order to better meet these needs the Friends are looking for new members. Stop by the library to join! Membership pricing is below:

Tutor.com

With Tutor.com, students can get help with any type of academic question: science, math, English, social studies, and writing. Tutors work with students from kindergarten through grade 12 -- even up to introductory college work.

You can connect to a live tutor online between 4pm - 11pm. Many other features (even resume writing assistance!) are available 24-7. All you need is your library card and PIN to connect.

Ancestry Library Edition

The Library now offers Ancestry Library Edition as part of its database collection. This tool, which must be used inside the library, provides access to billions of historical documents, millions of historical photos, plus local narratives, oral histories, indexes and other resources in over 30,000 databases that span from the 1500s to the 2000s.  Please click here to use.

 

Michigan Activity Pass

MAP is supported in part by the Library of Michigan with federal funds from the Institute of Museum and Library Services. The program is designed to enhance the learning experience for people of all ages through books and other library materials, and to provide reduced cost or complimentary access to arts and cultural organizations across Michigan, from St. Joseph to Saline to Saginaw to Sault Ste. Marie to South Range, and all points in between.
