Avid Vernors collector Keith Wunderlich will talk about the history of the “deliciously different” beverage. While it is available nationwide, Vernors is especially popular in the Midwest, particularly Michigan. The history of Vernors dates back to its creation in Detroit by pharmacist James Vernor around 1866, thus making it America’s oldest surviving soft drink. Vernors is enjoyed on its own, but also used in the classic Detroit Boston Cooler - a float with vanilla ice cream which will be served after the event!
